The rest of the numbers hold up, however: a 300-pound weight limit, a 20.75-inch seat depth, and a metal base that swivels a full 360 degrees. In short, this chair is for parents who feed and rock a baby in a small nursery and need to move the glider alone.
Day to day, the DaVinci Suzy Recliner Glider glides forward and back on its metal base and swivels all the way around, which means you can reach a crib or a side table without standing up. The manual recline offers two positions, and the plush leg rest opens and closes without a struggle. For example, the 40.5-inch high pillow back and the 20.75-inch seat depth give taller parents room to lean back during a night feed. The cozy cream boucle cover wipes clean with a cloth, so spit-up is easy to handle. On top of that, the foam carries CertiPUR-US certification, the frame uses FSC certified wood, and the chair holds GREENGUARD Gold certification after testing for over 10,000 chemical emissions.
That said, the DaVinci Suzy Recliner Glider is not the most convenient chair in the guide. Its manual recline and 4.0 rating trail the powered chairs, and the CHITA and the Delta Children Mercer both recline at the push of a button. By contrast, the Suzy costs $499, well under many powered options, and its certified materials and 86-pound frame are hard to match at that price. Assembly is required, and the chair is built for indoor use only. Even so, if you want a certified, easy-to-move swivel glider under $500, this is the one to get. Skip it if you need a powered recline or the highest owner satisfaction.
